Norwood Hair Loss Scale
The Norwood scale for hair loss is use to
describe the level overall hair loss experienced by men. Using
the chart helps to understand both the progression of the
condition, as well as the best treatment options.
The pattern described by the image above
shows a pattern of loss at the front area of the scalp and
recession of hair back across the scalp. Additionally, often
hair is lost at the crown (back) of the head. Left unchecked,
the two main areas will even reach each other and cause a
large area of overall loss.
Men with Norwood scale loss of 2-5V can benefit from treatments
listed in our hair
loss product reviews section.
