What is Hair Loss?
While hair loss can be caused by many different processes such
as hormonal imbalance, improper eating and pregnancy, the major
root cause of hair loss in men and women is DHT. This natural
hormone byproduct in the human body binds to the hair follicle
and begins degrading (killing) the hair follicle until it is
thin and wispy and no longer able to hold color. An estimated

Provillus
- The #1 Hair Loss Product of 2009
Provillus is a two-pronged approach hair loss treatment for
both men and women.
The male formula contains active natural DHT blockers which
work to prevent DHT from attacking the hair follicles. As well,
this fomula contains Minoxidil, which is an FDA approved hair
loss solution which increases the blood flow to the scalp and
hair follicles.
The female formula also contains the same powerful blocking
ingredients, but is more formulated to specific needs to womens'
hair.

Procerin
Procerin is a hair loss treatment designed for men only. To
date, Procerin does not a formula designed for women.
This particular product also rated very well amongst our independent
editors, and amongst users. We have rated this product the second
best treatment behind Provillus.
The product is similar to Provillus in approach, in that it
contains both a herbal supplement which is designed to help
flush out DHT internally, and a topical treatment, which you
apply directly to the scalp. The two reasons this product did
not score as well with users is that it is available only for
women at this time, and it does not include Minoxidil in the
formula. However, it is a great alternative for those who prefer
to not use a solution which utilizes Minoxidil.

Inhairit
Inhairit is a natural hair loss treatment that we would classify
as a DHT blocker. The product is a topical formula, which means
you need to apply it directly to the scalp and massage in daily.
The ingredients, which include a long list of known DHT blockers,
vitamins and minerals also include Saw Palmetto which is well
documented to help prevent the binding of DHT to the hair follicle.
Additionally, this product helps to restore hair health via
specially added herbs which are known to help increase hair
elasticity, promote faster growth, and improve hair shaft texture
and shine.

Growing
Back Hair by Newhair75
I have been using Provillus for the 6 months and like what I
see. All excessive shedding for me has stopped, and I have tons
of new small hairs popping up around the edges of the hairlines.
Very encouraging. |
Great
Product!
by Jeremy Jones
although it took awhile for this product to start working
for me, I am noticing a drastic reduction in the amount of hair
loss I see. I haven't grown back a ton of hair yet, but all
hair fall for me has stopped. I have been using this Provilus
for about 4 months now, so hopefully I start to see new hair
growing soon. |
Unsure

I use Rogaine 3% Foam and Shen Min, and was taking beta sitosterol
as a daily supplement, but am noticing only some minimal results.
I am thinking of swtiching and trying out Provillus this month.
Has anyone else here tried it? |

Thumbs Up!

I am using it and like it. I couldn't stand the greasy products
and even the foam Rogaine puts out is frustrating and stick
at the best of times. |

Excellent
products
by John
I am a 44 year old guy who has been suffering from hairloss
since I was 19. I have tried almost every product on the marketplace,
with varying degrees of results.
I can personally vouch for both Inhairit and Provillus. Currently
I am using Provillus because although Inhairit worked very well,
the natural of my job kept me from being able to use the overnight
topical program. I would recommend both of these hair loss products
to anyone. |

More About Hair Loss
What is Hair Loss?
Otherwise known as Alopecia, it is a condition characterized
by loss of hair from the head or body in both men and women,
often to the extent of complete baldness. What
Causes It?
Although stress and changes in medication can cause hair loss,
the main cause of this condition in over 95% of men and women,
often referred to as pattern baldness, is a hormone byproduct
called DHT, or Di Hydrotestosterone. What
is DHT?
DHT is a hormone byproduct created when testosterone interacts
with the naturally occurring enzyme known as 5 alpha reductase.
The reaction between the two creates freestanding DHT.
DHT quickly finds and binds to receptor sites in the hair follicle
known as androgen receptors. Once DHT binds to these receptors,
it prevents nutrients from entering the hair follicle, and begins
degrading the hair follicle - a process known as miniaturization.
Over time, left unchecked, DHT erodes hair follicles until they
become wisps on the scalp - thin 'baby-like' hair, which is
the last final stage before baldness. At this stage, the follicle
is close to death.
It is important to note that DHT is an important byproduct in
the body in the teenage years. It is responsible for regulating
hair growth in puberty, and other important functions. However,
after about the age 19 for most people, the hormone is not needed
or used by the body.
For more than 95% of the people self-diagnosed or professionally
evaluated as having hair loss, the condition could be prevented
by blocking DHT and its disruptive effects on the hair loss.
Blocking this hormone allows the hair follicles to renew, absorb
more nutrients, and stop the degradation. The hair follicle
then returns to natural form, growing thick and healthy hair
again. Ok, How Do I Block DHT?
The best way to block DHT is to utilize natural ingredients
that are often found in hair loss treatments known as DHT Blockers
to penetrate the scalp and bind with the hair follicles. Topical
solutions that contain known blocking mechanisms are usually
applied once per day so that the effects of the hormone DHT
are negated, and shielded against daily.
What About Minoxidil, Rogaine and Propecia?
While these three popular treatments can have some impact on
hair loss, only Propecia (Finasteride) is a DHT blocker. It
is a synthetic prescription pill which is ingested daily that
interacts with the system to reduce the amount of DHT in the
body. However, lowering DHT in the body can have negative effects
including loss of sex drive.
Additionally, it is much easier to address DHT naturally - side
effect free - by applying preventative products directly to
the scalp, where they are quickly absorbed into the scalp -
and by utilizing herbal supplements to block DHT internally
which do not interfere with the body's natural processes.
Minoxidil is a vasodilator, meaning that it is thought to expand
the blood volume in the veins in the scalp, providing more blood
flow to the hair follicles, bringing rich nutrients. However,
as you have seen, the best hair loss treatment needs a 2 pronged
attack - block DHT from binding with follicles, and increasing
the blood flow, bringing a healthy, persistent dose of rich
vitamins, minerals and nutrients to the scalp which revive hair
follicles and prevent further loss and thinning.
